James "Sloppy" Floyd Building (Twin Towers State Building)

The Floyd building is located directly northeast of the State Capitol in the block between Piedmont Avenue and Jesse Hill Jr. Drive, facing Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. Parking is available in the Pete Hackney lot on Jesse Hill Jr. Drive. To access the Floyd Building, from the Pete Hackney lot simply cross the bridge on the 5th level of the parking deck. Once you cross the bridge, take the stairs or elevator to the 3rd level to enter the Floyd Building. Only individuals with State I.D.s will be allowed access through this level. All others must exit the parking decks and enter through the front of the building.

From the MARTA rail line, take the Georgia State station on the east/west line. The station is inside the Floyd building.

Traveling South on I-75/85: Exit #248A Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive. Turn right onto Martin Luther King, turn right onto Jesse Hill Jr. Drive, then right into the Pete Hackney parking lot.

Traveling North on I-75/85: Exit #246 Fulton Street. Turn right onto Fulton, then left onto Capitol Avenue. Cross over Memorial Drive turn right onto Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. Turn left onto Jesse Hill Jr. Drive, then right into the Pete Hackney parking lot.

Note: These directions also apply from the Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport which is located south of Downtown.

Traveling West on I-20: Exit 258A Capitol Avenue. Turn right onto Capitol Avenue and follow to Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and turn right. Go to the first traffic light and turn left onto Jesse Hill Jr. Drive. Parking deck is on the right.

Traveling East I-20: Exit 256B Windsor/Spring Street follow straight on this street to Central Avenue (3rd traffic light). Turn left onto Central Avenue turn right on Memorial Drive. Go to second traffic light and turn left onto Capitol Avenue. Turn right onto Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Turn left onto Jesse Hill Jr. Drive. Parking deck is on the right.
